CEC Meeting at Liberty University

This past Thursday we had the privilege to speak to the future educators from Liberty University at the CEC meeting (Council for Exceptional Children). They have amazing hearts to work with students from all backgrounds. Here are some pictures of the event and the people that were there. It was a great turn out! God spoke through Jen as she shared her testimony and how God used teachers and tutors to encourage her and help her get through school. It's exciting to see college students have a heart for teaching.

Start of a new School Year

Hey Everyone,

As many of you have observed, we have a new name! We changed our name to "Hope Out Loud" and we have an exciting opportunity to speak at a Nascar Event in Dover, Delaware on Sept. 25. We are praying that God will keep opening up non-christian settings for us to share the Gospel.

Life is busy as usual! Jen is taking two classes at Liberty University, which is very hard for her. Josh is playing Varsity football at LCA. God is faithful and He carries us one day at a time! Please pray for Jennifer's headaches as they are still severe. We know that with God, all things are possible. Her memory continues to heal and we are very thankful for that.

Thank you so much for your prayers and encouragement. We are truly blessed to have awesome friends.

Recent Speaking Events!

May 15, 2010 -- Mom and I spoke in North Carolina at my Gramps and Nanny's church. It was incredible to feel God's presence in that place. It was all about HIM and His Glory! I prayed that when we spoke, God would radiate through us, it's all about Him, not about us!

May 8, 2010 -- We spoke at a Mother/Daughter banquet in Texas. We spoke at my good friend Lauren Moody's church. We shared the points around leaving a legacy of love for our children and how children do what you do, not what you say. "What you do in moderation, your children will do in excess" There was so many God appointments that weekend!

April 18, 2010 -- Mom and I flew to NY and spoke with the Awaken band. We talked about how to win the battle for your mind and the band played the awesome song, "Heal the Wound, but Leave the Scar". I challenged the girls to roll out of bed and land on their knees every morning!

March 26, 2010 -- We spoke at a Teen Girl event at Heritage High School. At least 11 girls got saved that night. I shared with girls how our identity should be in who we are in Christ, not in what the world offers.

March 5, 2010 -- We had the amazing privilege to fly out to CA and meet Joni Erickson Tada! My mom and I spoke to her staff. God showed up in mighty ways and spoke through us. We talked about how God can use our weakness for His glory and how he can turn scars into "Beauty Marks" of his faithfulness. We spent the whole day with Joni and it encouraged me so much to see how her whole ministry is built around her disability.
